THE CUT UPS with Dj Orion & Prince Klassen

Tonight we start out new residency at Red Fez!!! The Red Fez is taking a new turn in 2010 & it is looking good. Come have a hookah, dance your face off, and make us feel welcome.

We at Fully Fitted started a nice little mix series that has DJs & music lovers create mixes of stuff that they won't necessarily get to play in the clubs. The series has seen a ton of different styles & genres from all over the world.

In celebration of the new year and the series about to hit 25 volumes, I thought we should share 1-24 with you all.

ROXY MUSIC - Love is the Drug (prince klassen edit)

I first heard this tune on Depeche Mode's 101 tour video in the earlier 90s. I never knew who it was until way later. While ripping vinyl the other day, I thought I would give it a go. The groove and feel of this record is uneffwittable.

NAS - WATERMELON SONG

I was talking to some friends online yesterday and they were talking about this video. I had not seen the video until they sent me a link, but I am happy they did.

I think the video conveys a strong message, not only for hip hop, but for national social awareness in general. I admire Nas for making his voice heard with such a shocking video. I am wondering where the video will air, considering it's content, but nonetheless amazed. If you are interested in more truths about how racism truly works, rent or purchase any of the fine Paul Mooney DVDs.
